Our Story

My name is Jemma, I have owned dogs my whole life and come from a dog training family. I got my first dog, a rescue mongrel, at the age of 8 and my second dog when I was 11. He was a German Shepherd who I trained to a high standard and entered into many obedience and agility competitions. 

As an adult, I continued my career in dog training and have been running JJ’s VIP Pets for the last 16 years. I absolutely love dogs and enjoy nothing better than seeing them play together and enjoying life. I’m a firm believer in understanding a dog’s body language so we can better understand their needs. 

We offer all the services you’ll need as a dog owner including dog training, day care, boarding, walking and grooming. We operate out of our family home in Waltham Abbey, which we want your dog to consider their second home. Our huge dog area has direct access outside to play, where we have a 2-acre field with a steel fence surrounding it for the dog’s safety and security. We are surrounded by fields and woodland where we walk the dogs and can easily access the Lea Valley where we love to take the dogs swimming.    

We are fully insured and fully licensed by the local authority. It is truly doggy heaven here and your dog will always return home tired and happy, just in time for cuddles on the couch. Please note that male dogs must be neutered after the age of 1 year and please notify us if your bitch is in season so we can ensure they are on a lead during walks.
